In a devastating event, a powerful earthquake has struck Morocco's High Atlas mountains.

The earthquake has already claimed the lives of at least 296 people, causing widespread destruction of buildings and infrastructure.

The Interior Ministry has urged the public to remain calm and has provided updates on the affected provinces, including Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Marrakech, Azilal, Chichaoua, and Taroudant.
