The Live Activities feature on the iPhone isn’t brand new, but with the release of the iPhone 15, there are now more devices that can use it. This is thanks to the Dynamic Island, which has made its way from the iPhone Pro models to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
Live Activities are essentially notifications that appear on your iPhone’s lock screen. They show important information about things that are constantly changing, like package deliveries, sports scores, or timers. This way, you can quickly see what’s going on, such as how close your delivery is, without unlocking your phone.
With the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 15, Live Activities updates can also appear at the top of your screen.
