The police are currently on the lookout for four teenagers who were involved in a shooting incident near an elementary school in Washington.
Law enforcement swiftly responded to a report of gunshots being fired on a Thursday afternoon near North Hill Elementary School, as confirmed by the Des Moines Police Department.
Eyewitnesses recounted that two groups of teenagers brandished guns and began firing at each other in an open area adjacent to the school.

Following the incident, the suspects quickly left the vicinity on foot. Initial reports indicated a potential carjacking attempt, but later updates from the police clarified the situation. Specifically, two of the suspects had tried to stop a passing vehicle with the intention of hitching a ride, but their request was denied.
A comprehensive search effort was launched by the Des Moines police, the King County Sheriff’s Office, and nearby police departments. This search involved the deployment of a helicopter, a drone, and a team of police dogs. Regrettably, despite the thorough search, none of the suspects were located.
