Shah Rukh Khan’s latest blockbuster, “Jawan,” has taken the box office by storm since its release. This action-packed thriller, led by the Bollywood superstar himself, has outperformed even his own film, “Pathaan,” in the domestic box office, amassing a whopping Rs 546.58 crore within just 17 days of its debut. In its initial week, “Jawan” raked in Rs 389.88 crore, followed by Rs 136.10 crore in the second week, bringing its total earnings to Rs 525.98 crore within the first fortnight.
Building on this impressive start, “Jawan” continued to draw audiences, earning Rs 7.60 crore on its third Friday and approximately Rs 13 crore on its third Saturday. As a result, the film’s overall box office collection reached Rs 546.57 crore. It is projected to garner an additional Rs 15.69 crore on its third Sunday, potentially crossing the Rs 562.13 crore mark on its 18th day in theaters. In comparison, “Pathaan” managed to accumulate Rs 543.09 crore during its entire theatrical run, according to trade portal Sacnilk.

On Saturday, “Jawan” boasted a 26.86 percent occupancy rate for its Hindi screenings, while its Tamil and Telugu showings achieved an impressive 41.90 percent and 22.81 percent occupancy, respectively, on the same day. The film sold an impressive 6,19,886 tickets from tracked shows in India, generating approximately Rs 13.11 crore on its 17th day. “Jawan” recorded ticket sales of 1.05 lakh at PVR, 68,870 at INOX, and 41,023 at Cinepolis, accumulating a total of Rs 7.40 crore from national multiplex chains, as reported by film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan.
On the global stage, Shah Rukh Khan is on the verge of achieving a remarkable milestone by becoming the first Indian actor with two films in the coveted Rs 1,000 crore club. “Jawan” has already grossed an impressive Rs 953.97 crore worldwide, according to Red Chillies Entertainment. While “Jawan” inches closer to the Rs 1,000 crore mark, the superstar’s previous film, “Pathaan,” has reached a remarkable Rs 1,055 crore in global box office earnings.

“Jawan” represents the debut collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee. The film presents the emotional journey of a man determined to right the societal wrongs. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie features Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role and stars Vijay Sethupathi as the lead antagonist. The ensemble cast also includes Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. “Jawan” made its global theatrical release on September 7, captivating audiences in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu alike.
