Flash floods struck Las Vegas on August 24, transforming the renowned Las Vegas strip into a flowing river and causing damage to numerous buildings. The deluge resulted in a distressing incident where multiple individuals were swept away by the swiftly moving waters.
According to a report by Fox News, on August 25, the police fielded numerous distress calls reporting individuals being carried away by the floodwaters. One man found himself caught in the torrent near Flamingo Wash stream in Sunrise Manor, while another unfortunate incident involved two individuals being washed away near Route 15. In this series of events, a woman was successfully rescued, but another remains unaccounted for.
These incidents unfolded shortly after a tropical storm named Hilary had battered the Las Vegas area. The storm’s impact led to flash floods not only in Las Vegas but also across California.

Mike Allen, a reporter from Fox, shared an account on X, stating, “I spoke with an eyewitness who recounted the ordeal. He mentioned his participation in aiding firefighters to save one of his friends, but there are still missing persons. The police have acknowledged that not everyone could be rescued.”
